AWS re:Play 2019
re:Play 2019 was more than a wrap party for AWS’s re:Invent conference; it was a multi-media experience that pulled from a global community of musicians, lighting designers, 3D artists, culinary gurus and creative visionaries.
For re:Play we transformed the Las Vegas Fairgrounds into an adult playground with two 60’ tall mega structures, a towering Monolith with live visuals, a courtyard with a laser dome, multiple art installations, a drone show, lively bars and a tempting food court where over 180,000 plates of food were consumed in 4 hours.
The structures housed live music stages with electrifying sets by Anderson.Paak, A-Trak, STS-9, Miya Folick, Jamestown Revival, and Jen Lasher STS-9.
Our team built an “adult” ball pit called “PIXEL PISTONS” that stood over 50’ high. We filled it with 200,000 balls and guests went wild. Additionally, the mega-structures featured Button Mash, Broomball, vintage arcade games and a cutting-edge light installation by Nonotak.
In the courtyard, we built a monolith that projected 3D visuals from OUCHHH, Yulia Shur, Destruction Club, Beeple and Kytten Janae. The courtyard also featured dodgeball with Taiko drummers and pyrotechnics and the Intel laser dome with an all-night dance set by Tuff Ghosts and Trayer. Guests enjoyed a wide-array of food and drink options and were mesmerized by a live ice sculptor, an interactive video installation by Tigrelabs and a late-night drone show designed and produced by Intel and Production Club.
